Beginning a Foster Care Journey

My wife, Amber, and I have been going through the foster parent training classes and requirements over the last several months. It has been an eye-opening experience for the both of us as we work to navigate this road to becoming foster parents. 

Over the course of this journey, we have felt the overwhelming support that foster children receive from both the state agencies as well as fostering organizations. However, we've also felt the underwhelming support these same agencies give to foster parents/families. The Unbound Collaborative works to address those concerns by supporting foster parents with resources and necessary tools to navigate this system. 

As we transition from "training" to "fostering", we look forward to partnering with The Unbound Collaborative in the months and years ahead.
